Phoenix Love is a native New Orleanian multidisciplinary artist, model, performer, historian, and storyteller working across a range of mediums including sculpture, dance, digital design, writing, jewelry making, painting, professional modeling and fashion design. Love specializes in sculpting, creating both figurative and abstract works that explore the human form, as well as the formless. Concurrently, as a historian and licensed Tour Guide, Phoenix is exploring research and developing narratives sharing perspectives of the Indigenous, African and Diasporic experience in North America.

During her residency Love will use this time to replenish her creative well while developing a multimedia piece based on the history and development of the Mississippi River Delta and the descendants of the land.
