Gregory N. Swafford is a culture bearer environmentalist from New Orleans. His work intersects organizing, content creation, storytelling, and advocacy. He began organizing in 2020 after the untimely death of George Floyd. He quotes, “Before Floyd’s death, I considered myself a citizen scientist, and I was in a constant examination of the social conditions of my people in New Orleans. After Floyd’s death, I could no longer only examine the social conditions, I had to work to improve the social condition of my people.” During his time at A Studio in the Woods, he will continue to develop his debut book.
