Angel Ohome is a first-generation Nigerian-American born and raised in the American South. She is a hand-builder and wheel-throwing ceramic artist. Her work explores themes around ancestral memory, resistance, and the ways clay can be used as a bridge to emotional healing. During the residency, Ohome took time to rest and dream with the specific goal of creating a body of work for an interactive art exhibit that will focus on clay as a healing modality.
