Announcing 2024 – 2025 Residents

We are thrilled to announce all 2024-25 residents!

Self as Universe: Mending our Collective Ecosystem Residencies – Invite artists to explore the connections within our collective ecosystems and use the power of imagination to heal the wounds in the relationship between ourselves and our communities. Residents: Hali Dardar, Rochelle Jamila, Aurora Levins Morales, Issy Manley, Lue Palmer, Sunni Patterson, Niamh Rita & Justice Singleton, and Asante Salaam.

Replenish Residencies – Replenish Residencies provide restorative visioning retreats to local BIPOC artists and culture bearers; the heart of New Orleans culture. Residents: Cedric Dent Jr., Gladney, Marion Hoàng Ngọc Hill, Sweetie Magee, Stephanie Martin, Seven Milton, Angel Ohome, Antoine Prince Jr., Big Chief Tyrone “Pie” Stevenson, and Tinice Williams.

Bulbancha Residencies – Support Indigenous artists with a deep connection to Louisiana. Through this program, we aim to support the continuation of this legacy of cultural exchange and bolster the unique place of Indigenous Peoples in discussions of climate change and its aftermath. Residents: Amy Bluemel, John DePriest, and Michelle Joan Papillion.

Scholarly Retreats – Each year, we partner with Tulane and Xavier Universities to host one-week Scholarly Retreats for faculty and trainees across disciplines.
