Nathaniel Rich is the author of six books, most recently Losing Earth and Second Nature. He is a contributing writer for the New York Times Magazine, a regular contributor to Harper’s and the New York Review of Books, a 2025 Guggenheim Fellow, and a Professor of Practice in Tulane’s Environmental Studies Program. At A Studio in the Woods, Rich will be working on a book about the visionary climate economist Martin Weitzman.
