Open Call Residencies
The first juried residencies at A Studio in the Woods.
Open Call Residencies were the first juried residencies at A Studio in the Woods. These residencies typically lasted one month and were awarded based on seriousness of purpose, harmony with the mission of A Studio in the Woods, quality of work, and creative use of the studio’s time, space, and natural environment. Artists were encouraged to interact with the public and some elected to have informal gatherings and presentations.
