Sam Jameson is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Disease at Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. His work focuses on the ecology of medically important insects and the ways they cause disease and harm to humans and animals.

He will use his time at A Studio in the Woods to plan a research project investigating the nest types and building strategies of the Eastern woodrat in native bottomland hardwood forests.
