Rentals at A Studio in the Woods

Welcome to A Studio in the Woods, a truly unique and historic space nestled in a serene natural environment on the Mississippi River. We take pride in offering an exceptional experience that reflects the distinctive character and history of our space. Explore our 7.66 acres of woods or relax in our fully furnished house.

Group retreats are welcome to fill out our intake form below, our staff will reach out shortly. Our availability is limited to July-August with some wiggle room before and after that time. There is a possibility we can host outside of those times dependent upon any schedule openings in-between residency programing. 

School groups : We can accommodate a limited number of K-12 school groups on Monday mornings throughout the year.

Rental Offerings:

Any space will be rented as a full day from 9am-5pm. You may inquire about half-day rentals 9am-1pm. 

Main House (1200sq ft) – Our main house includes two bedrooms/bathrooms, a fully furnished kitchen and living room with long meeting tables, sofa, a screened in porch (480 sq ft) equipped with another long pecan table. The space can fit 20-25 people comfortably for a seated event. Spread outdoors to our meadow with picnic table seating or under our grapevine overhang and fire pit space with a porch swing. The space is perfect for a variety of presentations and gatherings (projector + screen available for use).

 If you would like additional space, The Founders Studio Workshop may be requested with a small additional fee.

Founders Studio Workshop (600 sq ft) – Our spacious, window-lined workshop can be used for a variety of presentations and team-building activities. It seats 15-20 with two large stool-height tables that can be made into three, the space is suitable for hands-on projects, meetings or presentations. There is a bathroom located upstairs. We can provide a large white board on wheels and general office/craft materials, please let us know if you would like to use craft materials before your arrival.  

Rental Guidelines: 

• Discounted Rates: As a testament to our commitment to the community, we offer discounted rates to non-profit organizations and community members with specific budget requirements. Feel free to inquire about these special rates when making your reservation.
• Overnight Rentals: Please note that we do not accommodate overnight rentals.
• Pet Policy: We are only able to host Service Animals as regulated by the ADA. This does not include Emotional Support or Therapy Animals. If someone needs to bring a regulated Service Animal, please let us know when scheduling your event.
• Natural Environment: Please be aware of poisonous plants, dangerous wildlife, and potential for extreme weather phenomena around our region when considering safety. Inform staff before exploring wooded trails.
