Join us to get your hands dirty in support of our lush bottomland forest on Friday, October 25 from 9am-12pm!

Volunteers will assist our Ecologist and Environmental Curator, David Baker, in some early FORESTival plant permitter clean up focusing on thinning overgrown vegetation and vines for the promotion of young Hardwood trees. He’ll also guide volunteers in the discussion of the Forest, how native blackberries have changed the landscape since the Chinese Privet removal and the impact of Hurricane Francine.

Parking will be on Patterson Rd. outside of A Studio in the Woods campus at visitor’s own risk. Please wear enclosed shoes, pants and gloves (if you have a favorite pair of loopers or garden shears, feel free to bring them). No Pets allowed.
