Sarah Gray is a clinical psychologist with a focus on early childhood. Dr. Gray’s research examines the developmental consequences of early life adversity, with a specific focus on intergenerational processes. She takes a multilevel approach, integrating narrative, behavioral, and physiological measurement to understand how risk and resilience is transmitted across generations through behavioral and biological pathways, situated in relational and broader social contexts.
Dr. Gray applied to the Studio in the Woods Scholarly Retreat in order to support her completion of an application for the National Institutes of Health (NIH); her project received funding in May of 2019. In her new funded project, she will examine how a preventive intervention for mothers and young children may impact mothers’ and young children’s biology and behavior.
