Born in Chicago, Deedra has been honored by Arts Alliance in Atlanta, GA; SouthEast Arts Award in Tunbridge Wells, UK; Sitka Center for the Arts Fellowship Residency in Otis, Oregon; and the National Parks Service. She has also been a resident at Everglades National Park. Her work can be seen in collections including Emory University in Atlanta, GA; Tokai International in Japan; National Parks Headquarters in Big Cypress Preserve and Everglades NP, FL; and in private and public collections and commissions in the United States, Asia, and Europe.
